Serbian Power forward Milos Petkovic (204-F/C-1991) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Club Universitario de Sucre, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3 (Second Stage).
The 34-year old player had a double-double of 25 points and 17 rebounds, while his team in a lost game to J.Guzman (#2, 4-2) 55-76. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Univ.Sucre maintains the 4th position in Liga SudAmericana . Univ.Sucre is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. But it was their 4th lost game this season out of 6 games. The second best player in last round's games was young Italian Leonardo Mainoldi (205-PF-1985) of league's second-best Jorge Guzman CD. Mainoldi had a very good evening with a double-double of 14 points and 10 rebounds. Of course he led J.Guzman to another comfortable win outscoring Univ.Sucre (2-4) 76-55. The Second Stage is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Mainoldi is a newcomer at J.Guzman and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

Third on the list of top players last round was another J.Guzman's star - American guard Donald Robinson (192-G-1989). Robinson scored 17 points and passed 5 assists. He was another key player of Jorge Guzman CD, helping his team with a 76-55 easy win against #4 ranked Univ.Sucre in a game of the week. J.Guzman needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 4 victories and 2 lost games. The season just started for Robinson as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be another team's leader.
